FAQ
Frequently asked questions about ICED — which courses and sections are covered, how moderators work, how content stays up to date, and how to report issues.
I can't find my timetable, resources, or other data for my course or section.
ICED is currently available only for B.Tech CSE second-year (sophomore) students at IILM University, Greater Noida.
We're actively working on expanding support to first-year and third-year CSE students. Support for additional branches will be added as student moderators from those branches join the platform and help manage their content.
If your course or section isn't available yet, we're likely still working on it.
Why doesn't ICED support every branch yet?
ICED is built and maintained by students. To ensure the information stays accurate, each branch and section needs dedicated student moderators who understand their syllabus, timetable, faculty, and academic structure.
Rather than publishing incomplete or outdated information, we expand only when we have contributors from that branch. This community-driven approach helps keep ICED reliable and useful for everyone.
Who are moderators?
Moderators are student volunteers responsible for managing and maintaining the content for their assigned section.
Each section can have one moderator who helps keep resources, timetables, directories, and other academic information accurate and up to date.
Students can become moderators by submitting an application. Applications are reviewed by the ICED admins, and selected applicants are assigned the role. Moderators are expected to follow the platform's guidelines, and the role may be revoked if those guidelines are violated.
Who updates the information on ICED, and how often?
Most content is maintained by the moderator assigned to each section. They are responsible for keeping section-specific information, resources, timetables, and specialization-related content up to date.
Some platform-wide information and announcements may also be updated directly by the ICED admin team.
Updates are made whenever new or revised information becomes available, so the frequency depends on academic changes throughout the semester.
I found a bug or something isn't working correctly.
ICED is an early-stage platform, so you may occasionally encounter bugs or glitches while we continue improving it.
If you find an issue, please report it through the Contact Us page. Your feedback helps us identify problems faster and improve the platform for everyone. We genuinely appreciate every bug report.
